Works of the Lord

Exodus 34:10 'And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and

all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.'

In the above promise verse, we read 'all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD'. The Lord God is always with his children and he takes care

of the works we do. And we need to believe that the works of the Lord will be revealed through us. We need to pray that other people will witness the work of the

Lord in our lives. The Lord will make use of his children and assist them to do marvellous works. The works of the Lord will be marvellous and awesome. Even in our

lives, the work of the Lord will align and connect with the works we do and it will yield marvellous results. Our adversaries who are waiting to see our downfall will

also witness the works of the Lord. We read in Psalm 33:4 'For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.' The work of the Lord will provide

justice for his children. We read in Ecclesiastes 12:14 'For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it

be evil.' We might have faced injustices in our lives, we might have been treated in an unfair manner in our workspot. The Lord's work will bring everything in

judgement. The word 'work' is referred as 'Maaseh' in Hebrew which interpreted as work of Jehovah. Today let us meditate on how are the works of the Lord found in the

scripture.

Incomparable work

Deuteronomy 3:24 'O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according

to thy works, and according to thy might?'

Here we see the Lord led the people of Israel in the wilderness for forty years. This verse records the work of the Lord is something which cannot to compared with

anything. The book of Deuteronomy records how Moses re-iterates the work of the Lord for the next generation. In the course of the journey, many people passed away and

new generations came up. We see Moses explains the re-records the works of the Lord and tells them how the Lord had led them through plagues and from the hands of Egyptian

armies. We read in Deuteronomy 32:10-12 'He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the

apple of his eye. As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: So the LORD alone

did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.' Here we read during the end of his days Moses explains how the Lord led him. From the lessons he learnt from his

experiences, Moses tells them how the Lord taught them like how an eagle takes care of its young ones. Even in our lives, the Lord is teaching us how to live in this

world with guidelines. We read in Psalm 18:36 'Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.' The Lord God will not let us to slip in our way and he

will carry us. We read in Deuteronomy 32:13 'He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck

honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock.' The Lord will caution us not to slip away and will help us to reach high places on earth. We need to learn all

the valuable lessons from the Lord in order to reach high places. The Lord God did not lead them into the path of wilderness but into the green pastures. The Lord who is

an incomparable Lord will lead his children in an incomparable way. Also we read in Psalm 78:25 'Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.' The Lord fulfilled

the needs of his children from heaven. He fed them with angel's food. The Lord changed the place of wilderness into a place where vines and olive trees grow. The Lord

changed the dry place into a garden. The Lord who led the Israelites is faithful to lead his children even today. The Lord will change the wilderness, will change our

challenges and temptations. With his incomparable work he will change our life of wilderness into a life of properity.

Mighty work

Deuteronomy 11:7 'But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.'

The works of the Lord will be mighty and great. The Egyptian people witnessed the mighty acts of the Lord for his children. The works of the Lord will be tangible in

our lives. We read in Deuteronomy 11:9-11 'And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed,

a land that floweth with milk and honey.For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst

thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs: But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the

rain of heaven.' Here the Lord speaks to his children like a tour guide. In the land of Egypt they watered by foot from River Nile and created channels for irrigation.

But the Lord explains about the land they are going to inherit. Although the place had no waterbodies, it drinks the water from the rain of heaven. Even in our lives, when

we look unto the Lord God, he will supply our needs and our lives will be filled with prosperity. As the land is facing the heaven for rains, we the children of the

Lord should face the Lord to receive hsi mighty works.

Great work

Judges 2:7 'And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD,

that he did for Israel.'

Over here we read the people who lived during the times of Joshua and the ones who saw the great works of the almighty God, served the Lord. The people who lived during

the times of Joshua they propagated the works of the Lord to their generations. The people who heard the great works of the Lord began to serve the Lord. These days the

churches in the West are becoming like Old age homes. People fail to pass on the works of the Lord to other generations. Today our desire should be in such a way that

we need to announce gthe great works of the Lord to our generations. We need to form a discipleship and we need to raise a generation that fear the Lord. Let us not

contain the things the Lord has done for us from sharing it with others. Let us propagate the great works of the Lord. Amen.
