THE WIND - 26/06/11

"Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a violent wind blowing came from heaven and filled the entire house where they were sitting."Acts2:1,2

A human brain can survive without air or oxygen for approximately 5 to 6 minutes and after that the cells begin to die one by one. So the wind plays an important role for the human life. We see in Ps104:3 The Lord God lays the beams of the upper rooms of His palace on the rain clouds. He makes the clouds His chariot, and travels along on the wings of the wind. Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit moving in you and in what way?

A gentle wind called breeze, an outburst of wind called storm or cyclone, Whirl wind called Hurricane or twister wind etc; 

In most of the families this kind of wind is blowing and that shows God is performing something through the Holy Spirit which you desire in your life. Today we are going to meditate the things which the wind brings.

Once a Pastor shared his testimony. He was not from a rich family background but wanted to do his Bible college in a foreign country. By God’s grace he went there and one day he was in real need of money. He prayed and went out. The wind blew faster and a paper parcel fell infront of him from nowhere and he couldn’t identify that there is something in and he was just kicking that paper with his legs playfully and walking and after sometime the parcel got opened by itself and he saw that there was dollars inside that. He took it and counted and there was money more than he needed. That was Pr. Finny Joseph.

1. WIND OF PROVISION

Now the mixed multitude who were among them craved more desirable foods, and so the Israelites wept again and said, “If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we used to eat freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic. Num11:4,5

Now a wind went out from the Lord and brought quail from the sea, and let them fall near the camp, about a day’s journey on this side, and about a day’s journey on the other side, all around the camp, and about three feet high on the surface of the ground. Num11:31.

Yesterday I thought of buying a LED Television for our church and I bought it. I just gave a cheque expecting a wind to be blown from the God. Are you asking God for anything? A house, a car, a child, life partner, better job, hike in business, etc; The wind is coming forth from the Lord and is bringing the desires of your heart and He would not delay to fulfil your desire. Just Believe. ‘If you are able?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.” 

2. WIND OF PROSPERITY

The seventh time the servant said, “Look, a small cloud, the size of the palm of a man’s hand, is rising up from the sea.” Elijah then said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up the chariots and go down, so that the rain won’t overtake you.’” Meanwhile the sky was covered with dark clouds, the wind blew, and there was a heavy rainstorm. Ahab rode toward Jezreel. I kings18:44,45

God did not say to Elijah “go and tell that it will not rain till you say”. Elijah himself says this. But God wanted to honour His servant’s word and He made it come to pass as Elijah told.

Have you heard about the artificial rain which India tried once upon a time as there was severe famine in the country? They tried it by sprinkling some powder on the sky to produce rain but it failed to rain. And the scientists told that the clouds are not dense but flat so artificial rain is impossible. Now they adopt methods for seeding clouds also. That’s just a news for our message. Showing a small cloud of the size of the palm of a man’s hand, Elijah predicts that there will be a heavy rainstorm and it was so.

I went to a meeting and a man of God came to me and said, “God says to me You are going to a new place”. I was thinking of that and God gave me confirmation through His servant. Are you in a huge need? Look at your palms and confess when this palm size of cloud is enough for God to bring rain He is able to bring prosperity in my life supernaturally.

3. WIND OF FAITH

But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!”  Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” When they went up into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” Mat14:30-33

Jesus wanted His disciples to be of good faith but when they were not as to His expectation He shouted at them.  Tiberian sea is a different one: It is not saltry, a shoal of fish go and hide in one area of the sea, all of a sudden strong wind blows etc; Once He got inside the boat the wind ceased. It increased the faith of the disciple and the wind in your life has come to prove that He is God. He will deliver you out of your present difficult situation and bless you. Through the blessings of your family Jesus is going to prove that He is the Son of God.

4. WIND OF VISION

He mounted a winged angel and flew; he glided on the wings of the wind.IISam22:11

A race is set before us and we cannot win the game without any vision. I asked a twelfth student which group he is going to take. He said that will be according to the marks and if I get very low marks I will go for the History group. See when we aim for something without any vision we cannot be victorious in that. The things which are impossible for us to do which is made possible by God through us in a supernatural way is vision. (Revelation is the revealing of things of God which is come to pass in the future)

When there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but the one who keeps the law, blessed is he!
