THE THINGS THE WIND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT FILLS US

Today is our Holy Spirit’s birthday.  Certain countries have declared the Day of Pentecost as Government Holiday.  I believe in Lord Jesus, even in our country this holiday will come soon.  As I was meditating the word of God, Lord spoke with me of what happened on that day.  So as you read the word of God now, claim it, make it as your own and pray – it will happen in your lives too…

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. Acts 2:1, 2

It is a rushing mighty wind of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost reveals Himself in many different forms and one such form is this.  This wind filled the entire house.  Till such time the upper room was empty, but suddenly wind came.  Even today, they have preserved the house as a testimony of the Holy Spirit filling.

Winds are of many kinds – gentle breeze to Tornado.  Sometimes mighty winds throw man to the top of the trees in certain countries in a particular season and the people prepare to leave that place before it comes.  I praise God for our country as there are no such harmful weather conditions.  Wind comprises of nitrogen and oxygen.  The latter was freely given by God for our respiration and survival.  We can experience this very well while climbing mountains where there will be oxygen deficit when we ascend to higher levels.  The Dead Sea has more oxygen level when we go deeper than compared to other seas.

A man can survive without oxygen for around 4 to 6 minutes only.  After that a large amount of brain cells will die according to Medicine.  So it is our heart, which pumps the blood continuously and sends the blood with oxygen to brain for our survival.  In case of heart failure, people may have to use oxygen cylinder, which costs around  2500 per cylinder.

But without the wind of the Holy Spirit, we cannot survive a single minute.  So we need to expect God to fill us with this wind.  God has promised to pour out His spirit on all flesh no matter what religion, caste, and faith that man is in.  So even if you do not believe, the Lord’s Spirit will be poured out upon you.  Now, let us meditate on the things the Triune God fills us.

1.         He fills us with the Spirit of Wisdom.

See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:  And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, Exo 31:2, 3: 

Lord called Bezaleel by his name.  I heard many wives complain that their husbands are not calling them by their names.  But it is the love of God, which calls us by our name.  Even while you are reading this, the Lord is calling you by your name too….

He has filled you with the Spirit of God with knowledge and also with the Spirit of Wisdom which inspires us to act or speak wisely at the right time.

Some people might have been working on fields contrary to their qualifications.  It is the Spirit of wisdom which makes them to do so.  Even to speak in places we need wisdom.  Solomon’s wisdom was searched by all people which he received overnight.  God’s blessings will also come overnight.  When the wind of the Holy Spirit is blown on a person who is dull, he becomes brilliant overnight.

Prayer:  Lord, please blow on us the wind of the Holy Spirit and fill us with the Spirit of Wisdom wait for the day where many will come in search of us like Solomon.

2.         He fills us with marvellous things

For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.  And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD. 2 Kings 3:17, 18

Egypt is a dry land, they have no rain.  It is a land cursed by God.  There will be no water.  People used to travel a lot for water and need to take water from deep down the earth.  So people also lead a dry life.  Their only source of water is the River Nile.

Even in our lives there may be many dryness seen: no job, no source of income, still our treasures will be filled.  He fills us with wondrous and marvellous things.  Some starts the project without any money, but end up finishing it successfully without their knowledge.  Planning is important, but do not go deep into it.  Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will accomplish every thing easily.

Even there is no water in lakes during summer time, we will have plenty of water.  Is your bank balance is zero? No worries your projects will be completed by the Lord.  We need to confess all these every moment as an act of faith; My valley will be filled with water.

Prayer:  Lord, do a miracle in my life.  I believe You can do it effortlessly.  I confess this in faith that I will see goodness personally and in my family.

3.         He fills us with His goodness.

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Ps 107: 9

He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry.  Separated families will be reunited.  God is going to bless you will all goodness to your satisfaction and expectation. When I travel abroad, we get only powder milk.  I used to long for Indian coffee and Indian foods.  I feel dry till I reach home, but I will be content once I reach home.  Likewise, whatever things you desire, God will give contentment of all things you desire.  The wind which is going to blow on us is going to give all goodness full to your contentment.

Prayer:  Lord, please blow your wind on me that I receive Your goodness full to my contentment.

4.         He fills us with the wind of satiation and abundant blessings.

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul. Jer 31:25

You might have become wearied that all possibilities have gone and there is nothing more in life.  The Lord said He has finished everything in the cross in order to give us a new beginning.  Never again say there is no chance for a blessing in my life.  God says, I will replenish the sorrowful soul with perfectness and abundant blessings.  God is going to bless you according to your needs.  Our house is going to be filled with all essential and luxurious products.  God has not called you to decline but to increase with His fulness.

Prayer:  Lord, please fill me and my house with your perfect and abundant blessings.

5.         He fills us with boldness.

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. Acts 4:31

After resurrection, God gave the disciples a bold heart to proclaim the Word of God with all boldness.  There was no such word called fear in their life after the wind of the Holy Spirit was blown on them.  Even in our lives, God is going to give a brave heart to do His work and ours.

Are you scared to speak the Word of God?  The Lord Says, Go, Do all things boldly.  The wind of the Holy Spirit is blown before you and all the raging seas will calm down.  Those who were addressed by people as cowards are now going to be filled with the boldness of heart by this wind.

Prayer:  Lord, please blow your wind on me so that I may proclaim your Word with all boldness and do all things without any fear. Thank you Lord. Amen.
