“I tell you the truth, unless you turn around and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven! - Mat18:3.

If you have to enter into the kingdom of God there are some rules and regulations to be followed and here He says about the humbleness. Today we will meditate about the things we are to follow from the child.

Child who seeks after God's business

Jesus replied, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must beabout my Father’s business?” Lk2:49.

When Jesus was twelve years old he went to the Jerusalem temple and he sought after God's business and He expects the same with us.

There lived a boy named Jim, he did not know to pray but everyday he goes to the chapel and say s "Jesus,This is Jim". One day he was sick and could not go to the chapel. So Jesus went to Jim's house to see him. Jim asked " Who are you?". Jesus said " Jim, This is Jesus". Jim was very happy to see Jesus in his house. In one or other way we have to do God's ministry and particularly encourage teeners and youth children to participate in all the church activities that will be very useful for their spiritual growth and also helpful to get them deviated from the worldly things.

Prayer: Father God, I decide to seek after your things as you expect. Also help me to bring up my children in your way.

Child with Godly qualities

Joseph's brothers took him and threw him into the cistern. (Now the cistern was empty; there was no water in it.) Gen37:24.

Many of us do not have the pardoning heart and have the quality of tit for tat. If you forgive others, you will be forgiven, "if you do not" viceversa. Joseph had many oppurtunities to take revenge on his brothers but he never even thought about it, See what he says in gen 45:5, "Now, do not be upset and do not be angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me ahead of you to preserve life!". What a loving and pardoning heart?

Prayer: Jesus, fill me with Your qualities and help me to be patient and forgiving so that I may receive forgiveness.

Child who preached the good news

She told her mistress, “If only my master were in the presence of the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would cure him of his skin disease.” 2Kin5:3.

Here we see a young slave girl was telling the good news of God's healing to her mistress. It is not about the status you are in but about the willingness to preach the good news. If you will God will use you. Now let us take a decision "I will earn atleast one soul for Jesus before January 2011".

Prayer: Father, Change me like this girl who had the guts to preach the gospel even to her mistress. I long to earn souls for Your kingdom, help me Lord, in Jesus name.Amen.

Child who obeyed God

Jephthah's daughter said to him, “My father, since you made an oath to the Lord, do to me as you promised.Jdg11:36.
 
Whatever you vow, you must be careful to do what you have promised,you must not break your word nor delay in fulfilling it. God says "it is a sin".Deu23:21. When parents say that they have dedicated you for God's ministry, your reply should be like Jephthah's daughter's. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Eph6:1. Fathers,do not provoke your children to anger,but raise them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Prayer: Father God, I decide to obey You and my parents in the Lord. Help me Lord Jesus. Amen.

Child who gave unto God

Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed the bread to those who were seated. He then did the same with the fish, as much as they wanted. Jn6:11.

Jesus did this miracle through the small amount of food which was given by the boy. If you give to God He will give you more than enough and other people will also be benefited through you as the effect this miracle had upon the people.

Prayer: Lord, I decide to give You not unto my desire but according to Yours. Amen.

Child who prays

When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she did not open the gate, but ran back in and told42 them43 that Peter was standing at the gate. Acts12:14.

If you make prayer as your habit everyday, automatically your children and everyone in our house will begin to follow that. Take care that your child prays before they go to bed in the night and when they wake up in the morning. It is a duty God has given to every parents. Let us do our duty with care.

Prayer: Lord, I decide to pray everyday without fail. Remove all the hindrances that makes me say " I am tired". Lord, I put You first in everything so draw me closer to you. Amen.
