Open Door

Rev : 3 : 8 “Behold, I have set before thee an open door and no man can shut it”. This is the promise given to us for the year 2005. We should confess this promise daily so that we can claim it for ourselves. Lord God has kept many blessings which we can receive when we enter this open door. Now we are going to meditate on four of such open door blessings. 1. Open Door which gives healing / Open door which shows miracle Acts : 3 : 1,2. Over here we see the gate of temple which is also called “Beautiful”. A certain man who was lame from his mothers womb was carried to this gate to get things from the people that entered the temple. When Peter and John crossed him he asked an alms. To his surprise instead of giving alms they did a miracle. In Acts: 3:7 we see that ‘…. And immediately his feet and ancle bones received strength” Similarly to this when we enter the open door which is opened for us by our Lord, surely we will receive miracle. 2. Open Door when Lord God answers our Prayers : Act: 12: 10-16 Here we see that many came to the house of Mary and gathered to pray for the release of peter. There in the prison iron gates were opened on its own and not by any angels. Then from there Peter came to house of Mary and knocked the door of the gate. By Peters voice she understood that it was he and ran out of gladness. She ran and informed other people but they didn’t believe her and said that she might be mad. Since the knocking continued they went and opened the door and there they saw Peter and were astonished. Here we see that when they opened the door they were astonished because their prayer were answered by Lord God immediately. Likewise our prayers will also be answered by Lord God when we enter the door which was opened by our Lord for us. In addition to that we will be amazed to see the miracle happening immediately. Our Prayers shouldn’t be the one way communication. After our prayers we should leave a gap for the Lord to speak. But some of us in their prayers they alone speak and they don’t let Lord God to speak. Lord God will answer our prayers a) when we pray with full concentration and oneness of mind. b) When we read bible. Lord God will speak to us through verses in the Bible. We shouldn’t stop only with reading but also we should meditate on those verses. We will get answers from this Bible for all our situations and problems 3) Open Door which wipes out our tears Luke 7: 12 – 15 Here we see that when Jesus came to the gate of city he saw a dead man carried out who was the only son of his mother. There Jesus rise that dead man and wiped the tears of his mother. This is the important blessing which all of us is going to receive. He don’t want us to shed tears due to our problems. Only the tears which we shed for the lost soul will be counted in the heaven. Similarly when we enter the gates which is opened to us for our Lord he will wipe away our tears by doing miracles in our life. 4) Open door which signifies preparation of the second coming of jesus Mat : 25:10 When was the door shut ? The door was shut when the bridegroom entered the door. Likewise the door which is opened will shut down after the second coming of Jesus ( bride groom referred here ). So as these five virgins who are ready to meet the bridegroom we should also get ready for the kingdom of God. As said in Rev 3:8 , the door which is opened for us by God will not be shut by anyone.
