Things to learn

 Things to learn

Isaiah 51:2 'Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.'

When the Lord speak to us he will either speak directly or he will speak through parables. There are places where the Lord will ask us to look into what he did and will
ask us to learn from that. Here in the above passage, the Lord asks us to look into the life of Abraham and Sarah. The Lord asks us to see how he blessed and increased
them. In order to reach to the next level in our lives, we need to learn and understand the things that the Lord desires. When we fail to understand or take a closer
look at the things that Lord asks us to, we will miss out a lot of blessings. When we understand certain things that the Bible teaches us we can live a easy life. We
read in Matthew 22:29 'Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.' When we do not know the things we must know,
many wrong thoughts will arise in our lives. Let us submit ourselves to learn the things that we are expected to know and learn in our lives.

God of increase

Isaiah 51:2 'Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.'

Here we can see how the creations and the work of the Lord was working in the life of Abraham. When we take a closer look in his life, the Lord called him when he was all
alone. The Lord was with him and blessed him with an increase. There are instances where Satan will make us feel we are alone in this world. We the children of God should
never fall for the lies of Satan. We should have a faith that the Lord of increase is with us. Although there are times where we feel alone, we need to recall and
remember how the Lord has been guiding us with increase so far.

We read in II Kings 6:15-17 'And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots.
And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they  that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha
prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of  the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of
horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.' Here we read about the incident happened in the life of Elisha. We can see the young man with Elisha was screaming
with fear looking at the horses and chariots. It was a situation where they were all alone in that juncture. What was the reason for fear? He was scared because of the
loneliness. He was scared because his spiritual eyes were shut. We can also see he was crying out to his master saying 'Alas, my master! how shall we do'. Here, Elisha
did not pray to the Lord to deliver him from that situation but he prayed to open the eyes of the young man. When his eyes were open, his sight changed and he saw the
host of horses and chariots of fire acconpanying them. Even in our lives, there are many things that are waiting to swallow us up. We might feel all alone to face
certain things in our lives. During such situations, we need to pray to the Lord to open our eyes to witness his support. We need to ask the Lord to remove the barriers
which is hindering our growth in our lives.

God of Provision

Matthew 6:26 'Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better
than they?'

In the above passage, the Lord asks us to look at the birds of the air. When we look at them we can understand certain things. The Lord tell us to look at the birds of
the air to learn how our heavenly father will provide for us. Truly speaking, it is amazing to see how the Lord helps the birds to survive and provides them. The birds
of the air does not have any trouble of survival like a man. When Jesus talks about worrying, he wants us to keenly observe certain processes of nature and learn the
divine work of the Lord. We read the heavenly father is feeding the fowls of the air and will also provide his children but this does not mean that we should be idle.
We need to understand that the provision of the Lord will be constant. Bible researchers claim it is not expecting God to stuff the food in a bird's beak but it is the
nature of the bird to not worry thinking will there be food or not and knowing that there will be food at the right time. The Lord of provision will bless whatever work
we do in our lives. The heavenly father who feeds the birds will feed his children who are very special to him.

God of wisdom

Proverbs 6:6,8 'Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.'

Over here, the Lord asks us to look at the ant to learn wisdom. Only in Proverbs 6:6 and Proverbs 30:25, we can learn read about the teachings of wisdom through the ant.
The Lord wants to teach us how to save wisely. In the passage we can read the Lord gives wisdom to ants to gather their food. We need to make use of the time and ensure
we save and make correct investments. In order to learn this wisdom, the Lord asks us to go to ant and not to a scholar. There is a plenty of things to learn from small
things in our lives. We need to consider the 'ways' of the ant. Even in our lives, the Lord has kept certain ways to consider. When we adhere and walk in the way of the
Lord, we can go to next level. Amen.
