Resurrected Jesus at Galilee

Matthew 28:6-7 'He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the

dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.'

Here we see that people went to the tomb in search of Jesus. The above verse we can read that the people who went in search of Jesus received a news. We can see the

angel of the Lord gives them a message in Matthew 28:2-3 'And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and

rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.' As soon as they received the message from the

angel of the Lord, they hastened to inform the news to the disciples. The blessings that Jesus brought fighting death through his resurrection is countless. Our Lord

Jesus brought an eternal deliverance in our lives. When we read Matthew 28:7 '..he goeth before you into Galilee.' We can see the Lord chose the place of Galilee to

inform certain important things to his people. When we read Matthew 28:10 'Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee,

and there shall they see me.' The Lord himself confirms that he is on his way to Galilee and asked them to inform his disciples. Jesus also announces the same news

which the angel of the Lord spoke to them. The place of Galilee plays a pivotal role in this situation as Jesus wanted to meet his people in this place before he

could ascend to heaven. The words that Jesus spoke that day is not only for his disciples but also to each and everyone of us. Let us meditate upon the things that

the resurrected Jesus shared at Galilee.

Divine authority

Matthew 28:16,18 'Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All

power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.'

The Lord called tweleve disciples but during the end of his ministry he had only eleven. One disciples lost his calling and only eleven disciples ended up going to

Galilee. As recorded in the verse, the mountain where they need to meet Jesus has also appointed already. And there Jesus tells them about the various authorities that

his father has given to him. But this is not first time that Jesus speaks on this subject. Jesus had touched upon this topic many times during his ministry but they

failed to understand. This we read in Matthew 7:28 'And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine.' and also we

read in Matthew 10:1,8 'And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness

and all manner of disease. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.' We can see that Jesus spoke about

the authorities and gave the authorities to them already. Also in Matthew 9:6 'But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins'. When we

believe in Jesus, the authorities will be given to us. Before the cross we did not have the authority. Only post-resurrection the Lord has made us righteous and gave all

the authorities in our hands. The Lord's authority will surpass all the authorities on earth. We are always the people of authority not the people of inferiority. We need

to believe and use the authorities that the Lord has given to us. There is no need to fear or feel suppressed by any powers on this earth.

Divine advice

Mark 16:14 'Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them

which had seen him after he was risen.'

Here we read that Jesus shares certain things to his disciples. Jesus advices them in the form of rebuke. He gave them a divine advice. Jesus upbraided them for their

unbelief and hardness of heart. Jesus rebuked them because they lacked in faith and did not believe on his resurrection. We need to understand that without strong

faith on the Lord God it is impossible to use the authorities that the Lord has given them. This was the main reason why Jesus rebuked them as they were lacking faith.

We read in Mark 16:17 'And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.' Only when we have a

strong faith, we cannot exercise the powers and authorities that the Lord gave us. At times, when we are given into circumstances and given into temptations, we need

to stay strong in faith. Faith should be our foundation. We the children of the Lord should walk according to the divine advice of the Lord in order to use the authorities

of the Lord.

Divine fire

Luke 24:27,32 'And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. And they said one to another,

Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?.'

Here we see two disciples were on their way to a place of Emmaus. While they were walking they spoke about the things that happened in the life of Jesus. When Jesus

spoke to them and explained certain things to them, they felt their hearts burnt. They could feel a divine fire of God internally. Further we read in Luke 24:30 'And

it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.' Apart from meeting them and talking to them, the Lord Jesus

dined with them. Initially, Jesus explained the word of God and then went to stay with them. When Jesus came to their abode as a guest went on to become one among

them by serving them. Jesus took the bread, blessed it, and broke it for them. When we give importance to Jesus and the word of God, the Lord himself will become

one among us and will dwell with us. Whenever Jesus took the bread, it is a sign of a blessing (Luke 9:10-17). May the divine anointing fire sanctify our spirit soul

and body. When we use the divine authority according to hisdivine advice, the divine anointing will dwell within us. Amen.
