THE SPECIALTIES OF PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED HOLY GHOST Bible Passage: Joel 2:28-30 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, you old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions…” In the Holy Bible we see many people, whose lives are changed after they received Holy Spirit. After they received the Holy Spirit they got special gifts. I. Revelation Concerning The Future To Joseph: Gen. 41:38 “And Pharoah said unto Joseph, forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art” Joseph has received the Holy Spirit. He has received the mercy of Holy Spirit. Since Joseph has Holy Spirit he had revelation about the future. If we have Holy Spirit then surely we will be knowing our future. God will reveal about their life and death to them very clearly. We should know our future if we have Holy Spirit Daniel 4:18 “This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar declare the interpretation thereof forasmuch as all the wise men of my Kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the Spirit of the Holy Gods is in thee” Even here, we see Daniel interpreting the things of the King’s dream. He is prophesying about the future. II. Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding To Bezaleel: Ex 31:2-5 “See, I have called by name Bezaleel… and I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, and in understanding and in knowledge and in all manner of workmanship… Only because he has Holy Spirit he has got wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Each and everyone of us need all these things. If we have Holy Spirit with us there is now work which we cannot do. God called Bezaleel by his name and exalted him with these skills. III. Elders And Leaders Bore The Burden Of The Church Num 11:16, 17 & 25 “And the Lord said unto Moses gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee. And I will come down and talk with thee there and I will take of the Spirit which is upon thee and will put it upon them and they shall bear it not thyself alone… when the spirit rested upon them they prophesied and did not cease.” When the spirit rested upon them they prophesied, it means they bore the burden of the church along with Moses. They have been called up to bear the burden with Moses or with the Servant of God. Since Holy Spirit was with them, they have strength to bear the burden. IV. Caleb And Joshua Faithfully Followed The Lord Num. 14:24 “But my servant Caleb because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring in to the land whereunto he went; and his seed shall possess it.” Here we see God giving testimony about Caleb. He says, Caleb has followed Him fully. This is because he had another Spirit. Only because of Holy Spirit he lead a good life before the eyes of the Lord. Num. 27:18 “And the Lord said unto Moses, take thee Joshua, the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay thine hand upon him” Here God says about Joshua. We should keep these youngsters as our role model and walk according to them in our lives. V. Simeon And Philip Led By The Spirit Luke 2:25-27 “And behold there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon… and the Holy Ghose was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple…” Simeon has Holy Ghost. He had a very good revelation that he will see Jesus Christ. He was waiting for long time. The revelation he has from God is that before seeing Jesus Christ, he will not die and that happened. VI. Stephen Saw Heaven “And the saying pleased the whole multitude and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost…” Acts 7:55,56 “But he, being full of the Holy Ghost looked up steadfastly into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.” Here we see Stephen seeing the vision of the heaven. This is because he was filled with the Holy Ghost. Similarly only if we are filled with Holy Ghost we can see many secrets of heaven.
