GOD'S RICHES

Our God is not an ordinary God but He is a rich God. Wealth plays a very crucial role in ones life. From cradle to graveyard we need wealth. Jesus Christ gave His own life for our own sake which is above all riches. Since He is with us, we possess not only this worldly riches but also His Heavenly riches. Our Lord God is rich in many things and they are :-

1. RICH IN MERCY: EPH 2 : 4, 5

Our GOD is rich in MERCY. It was HIS Mercy which saved us from the miry clay. It showed the path of Salvation and blessed us. Many mytholigies of this world preach that gods came to this World to slain the sinners but our Bible contradicts this idea. It says that our saviour Jesus Christ came to this World just to save the sinners. This shows how Merciful God He is.

Thus His MERCY, directs us to the path of Salvation.

2. RICH IN GRACE: EP 1: 7

The Mercy showered upon an unworthy being is called Grace. He showered His MERCY upon us. We do not have any special trait but still He chose us because of His Grace.

EP 2 : 6 says that the first level in Grace is Redemption. And the second level is that He will make His beloved to be seated along with Him in Heavenly places.

Thus He is rich in His Grace.

3. RICH IN THE GLORIOUS HOPE : COL 1 :27

We, the children of God are living in this world. We may not posses this worldly riches but He is in us so we are the richest beings in this world. This gives us Hope. This hope is called as the Hope of Glory. He gives us this Hope.

Thus HE is rich in the Hope of Glory.

4. IMMEASURABLE RICHES : EPH 3 : 8

Our God showered His Grace upon us to carry His gospel among the gentiles. We have to utilise all our talents given by our God to spread His gospel. This very act of us will increase our blessings. When we do this, the gentiles who listen to our words will also come unto our God to get His riches.

5. RICH IN FULLNESS : EPH 3 : 19

Our God's love is great. To understand His love one whole life span will not be enough. To understand this in a better way, we will consider an example,

A new born baby will see his / her mother as a milk woman because she feeds the child whenever it cries. Later when the child grows, it understands the role of a mother and begins to love her. Even though the child loves her, he / she cannot understand her love to the fullest until she dies.

Similarly, we cannot understand His love to the fullest when we are living in this world. We can understand His love only when we enter the Eternal Gates of Heaven.

6. RICH IN UNDERSTANDING HIS MYSTERIES : COL 2 : 2

Our God is a mysterious God. To understand His mystery is one among His riches. He also knows our future. It is He who designed our future. When we pray to God He will not only reveal Himself but He will also reveal our future.

7. RICH IN FULFILLING OUR NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS GLORY : PH 4 : 19

Our God will fulfill all our needs whichever we ask in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ according to His riches in Glory.
