A Year of the Lord of Hosts-6
Psalm 46:7 “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.”
This year will be the year of the Lord of hosts. When we the say that the Lord of hosts is with us, we mean that we are not alone. We have an army of God right beside us. We the children of God will never be afraid of anything that comes against us. We have the Lord of hosts to battle it out for us this year. The Lord of hosts is giving us the divine strength to conquer all the issues in our lives.
Loves till the end
Matthew 28:20” Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”
Over here we see our Lord Jesus promises to be with his children till the end. This signifies that the Lord will lead us till the end of the times. We read in John 13:1 ‘Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.’ We see the Lord Jesus shares many things with his disciples. One of the important things that Lord spoke to his disciples was about love. The love of Jesus Christ will never fade away with time. It will remain the same for generations to generations. We the children of God should reflect the love of God to this world.
Removes the bondage
John 13:4-5 ‘He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.’
Here in this passage we see the Lord Jesus revealed his love by washing the feet of his disciples. This is the pinnacle of Christ’s humility and love. We read in John 13:14 ‘If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.’ Here our Lord Jesus insists that his disciples do the same act of humility. This we read in Philippians 2;8-9 ‘And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name’ Our Lord Jesus humbles himself before all men which lifted him to great heights. We the children of God should be loving and humble like our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, let us all pray that we be humble and exhibit the nature of Christ to this world. Amen.
