The Lord Almighty-11

Introduction

Genesis 17:2 “And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.:”

            We see the Lord almighty makes a covenant with Abraham and promises to bless him abundantly. We read in Psalms 91:1 ‘He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.’ In this passage we see the Lord almighty is like a shadow that more or less surrounds his children. Let us mediate the blessings we obtain when we the children of God are shadowed by the Lord almighty.

I Being carried by the hands of God

Exodus 33:22 “And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:”

            On the above passage we can see Moses the servant of God was covered by the hands of the Almighty. The hands of the Almighty gives us protection and safety. In Psalm 118:15-16 ‘The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.’ The hands of the Lord almighty will not only cover us but will also perform magnificent works for children. The hands of the Almighty will carry and cover us with divine protection. We read in Psalm 138:8 ‘The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.’ As rightly recorded in this verse, we the children of God that are found under the shadow of Almighty will never be put to confusion. The hands of the Almighty will perfect all things that concerns us. At the same time, we must make sure that we adhere to his commandments and walk upright in order to receive all the blessings of the Almighty.

II Leads us by the clouds

Numbers 14:14 “And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.”

            As the Almighty led his children by the pillar of cloud and fire, we will also be led in the same manner. There might be circumstances where we find hard to take decisions. In such cases, the hands of the Almighty will shadow us and leads us to the right direction. The Lord will lead us like a pillar in the day and night. He will be a shining light in the darkness. The hands of the Lord will not only show us the correct path but also will create new paths for his children. The Lord Almighty created a new way in the Red sea for the people of Israel. Same way, the hands of the Lord will work out such miracles for us. Therefore, let us all pray that the Lord should give us grace to walk in the way that was prepared for us.

III Upholds until victory

Psalms 57:1 “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.”

            The hands of the Almighty saves us from all calamities. We live in this futile world where we are exposed to all kinds of threats and dangers. Anything can happen at any given minute. Today, the Almighty God confirms that he will uphold us. The hands of the Almighty will be with us like a shadow and cloud to guide and guard us. The Lord will uphold us until all his plans and purposes concerning our lives are manifested. We the children of God will be constantly under the guidance of the Almighty. The hands of the Lord God will uphold his children and lead us to victory. Amen.
