 The Lord Almighty-10

Introduction

Numbers 24:4 “He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:”

            We see the Almighty God leads Balaam just as he led Abraham by giving him visions. The Almighty God opens the eyes of Balaam and shows him the blessings that were reserved for him. Even in our lives, the Lord is prepared to give us visions and prepare to shower his blessings upon us. Let us mediate the works of the Lord almighty in detail.

I Spiritual Hearing

Numbers 24:16 “He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:”

            Here we see the Lord almighty gives us a spiritual hearing. We read this in Romans 10:17 ‘So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.’ The faith keeps growing as we keep hearing the words of God. As food is necessary for our physical survival so is the word of God for our spiritual growth. When we hear the words of God we grow in Christ. The words of the Lord will lead us and guide us. When we listen to unwanted hearings, it will gradually lead us into downfall. We the children of God must have this spiritual hearing in order to lead a life that pleases our Lord almighty. We need to make it a point to listen and act according to the word of God.

II Spiritual Knowledge

Numbers 24:16 “He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:”

            When we hear the word of God, the almighty gives us a spiritual knowledge. The spiritual knowledge will be super natural. We read in Proverbs 2:6 ‘For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.’ The spiritual knowledge is something that is divine. Similarly we read in I Corinthians 12:8 ‘For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;’ Here we see the Lord almighty gives us the word of knowledge by the spirit. The spiritual knowledge will reveal the divine plans of God and gives us divine revelations. The knowledge will enable us to understand all the secrets on earth. The Lord almighty will bless us with revelations by giving his spiritual revelations.

III Spiritual Victory

Numbers 24:20 “And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.”

            On the above passage, we can read about the person called Amalek. When we say Amalek it refers to a carnal behavior. We see the Lord comforts his children not to worry about Amalek. Even in our lives, we have to face people like Amalek. But if our spiritual growth is stronger, we will overcome people like Amalek. We read in Exodus 17:14 ‘And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.’ This passage reveals that Amalek was against the people of Israel. But the Lord almighty made the hosts of Amalekites to perish on the ground for his children. Same way, the Lord almighty will also battle for us and will lift us up before our enemies. Amen.
