God who makes us prosperous-III

Introduction

Deuteronomy 30:9 "And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:"

The above verse is the promise verse for the month of July. Our Lord God will give us the blessing of prosperity. There will not be any dry state in our lives anymore. The hands of the Lord God makes things plenteous in our lives and we will lack nothing. When we read in Deuteronomy 30:8 ‘And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.’ As rightly recorded in the verse, we the children of God should obey the voice of the Lord and adhere his commandments.

ENLARGEMENT

Genesis 9:27 "God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant."

We see Japheth belongs to the generation of Noah and he was blessed by the hands of God. Japheth was blessed with the blessing of enlargement. When we say enlargement it means an act of extension. The God of Japheth is going to bless us with the blessing of enlargement. We also read in Genesis 33:11 ‘Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.’ Here we see the Lord blesses Jacob.

Similarly we read in I Chronicles 4:10 ‘And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.’ Over here the Lord God blesses Jabez and enlarged his coasts. We also read in Job 1:10 ‘Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.’ We see the Lord God blessed his servant Job and his work. Our Lord puts a hedge round about him and everything that belonged him. As a result, the wealth of Job was blessed and multiplied. Even in our lives, our Lord God is going to bless us with the blessing of enlargement.

SUCCESS

Genesis 24:56 "And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master."

In the above passage we see the Lord prospered the way of his servant. Our Lord gives a success in his journey. There will be a difference in all the works we are undertaking and we will taste the success. In Genesis chapter 24, we can see the word ‘master’ has been used 22 times. This pleasing act is what God expect from his children. We the children of God should make sure that we give the due respect and honor to our Lord God. We must never forget to glorify the name of our Lord God.

In order to attain the successful blessing, we need to know how they achieved those blessings.

In Genesis 24:26-27 ‘And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.’ This verse tell us that he knew that he was being led by the hands of God. And he surrenders himself to the leading of the Lord God.

In Genesis 24:17-18 ‘And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.’ This verse confirms that they acted according to the will of the Lord.

In Genesis 24:67 ‘And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.’ Finally, we see the Lord almighty comforts Isaac after his mother’s demise.

Therefore, we the children of God should pray to God that he should bless us in a prosperous way. Let us be blessed with the blessing of enlargement and success.
