SUNDAY SERMONS

God who makes us prosperous

Introduction

Deuteronomy 30:9 "And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:"

The above verse is the promise verse for the month of July. Our Lord God will give us the blessing of prosperity. There will not be any dry state in our lives anymore. The hands of the Lord God makes things plenteous in our lives and we will lack nothing. When we read in Deuteronomy 30:8 'And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.' As rightly recorded in the verse, we the children of God should obey the voice of the Lord and adhere his commandments.

A dew of heaven

Genesis 27:28 "Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:"

Over here we see the dew brings a blessing from above for the children of God. It is a dew of heaven. A dew that is divine and lofty. We read in Exodus 16:13-14 'And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.' Here we see the children of Israel names the heavenly food as Manna. We see the Manna that God gave them came along with a dew.

Dew of Protection

Numbers 11:9 "And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it."

We see here the Manna fell on the dew. Here the dew acts as a protector to the Manna that God sent to his children. Even in this world, we the children of God are exposed to many satanic traps. The dew of protection will shield us from all forms of dangers in this world. This dew guards us from all worldly desires. The dew of protection will never lets us stick to the worldly pleasures. The sacred dew will circle us into the presence of the Lord.

Dew of Word

Deuteronomy 32:2 "My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:"

Here in this above passage we see the dew is compared to the word of God. We the children of God should listen to the word of God. The words will lead us to prosperity. It is necessary that we should memorize the verses in the scripture. We should write and confess the promises that the Lord has given us. Only when we do it, we will be showered with the dew of word.

Dew of Blessing

Deuteronomy 33:13,16 "And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren."

When the Lord almighty blessed Joseph, he did not stop with it. The Lord blessed the whole nation. We read in Genesis 2:6 'But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.' We see there were no rains from the days of Adam till Noah. And that was the time he made his children experience the rains. When the land was poured with fresh rains, it blessed the whole land. The fresh dew brought blessings to the children of God. There will be a financial blessing for the children of God.

Dew of Victory

Judges 6:37 "Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said."

Here we see Gideon wanted an answer from the Lord God. He wanted to know if he can proceed to the war or not. And so he wanted to confirm the same. Here the dew brings a victory to Gideon. The Lord God confirms his answer to Gideon by showering the dew twice on a fleece of wool. The answer gives Gideon a courage and strength to battle it out. We read in Judges 7:9 'And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand.' We see the Lord God gives him a victory.
We the children of God should never be afraid of anything. The divine dew from the Lord will battle it out for us. In Judges 7:9 'And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;' Here we see the dew not only brings a victory but also makes him inherit the land. A blessing of inheritance will be given to us. Therefore, let us all pray to our Lord God that he should shower his dew in our lives and bless us abundantly.

Amen.

God bless you.
