 PRAYER HEARER

Introduction:

Psalm 65:11 “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.”

The above stated verse is God’s promise for the month of August which signifies a blessing of God in our life. We see our Heavenly father crowns us with goodness and our carts will be overflown with abundance. Every promise from God has some conditions for us to inherit it. We also need to understand the fact that it takes time for every one of us to inherit the promises of God.

Psalm 65:2 “O thou that hearest prayer….” This verse signifies God as a Prayer hearer. When we remain truthful to our God by submitting all our wants and wishes, the Prayer Hearer will lend his ears to help us. Today we are going to meditate upon the blessings that our Prayer Hearer is going to give us when we believe in his name.

I. Divine Power

Psalm 65:3 “Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away."

Dear beloved, when we give space to Satan in our life, there are many chances for Satan to prevail us. When we give him space, we will commit sins and transgress God’s commandments. As a result, our iniquities will strangle us. There comes God’s Divine power to make us conquer all such terrible happenings. The power of God (Dunamis) will never ever let the demonic powers to swallow us up. Many powers in this world such as Power of man/money/Satan may come in search of us to break us down, but we with the Divine power of God, will battle down all those evil forces and enchantments.

            People in this world may try to deceive you and try to cheat you to put you into the dark pit. But you should never forget one thing! What is it? The Divine Power of God! Our Lord says ‘No matter how many powers may come to destroy you, my divine power will be with you to break them down.’ Today, the Prayer Hearer is going to give you that Divine Power to overcome all the impossibilities and you shall be a conqueror from all sorts of evil powers and traps.

II. Divine Satisfaction

Psalm 65:4 “Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.”

            Here we see about the court of God which means the Church of God. Dear beloved, as Christians we need to give more importance to the Church of God and all the works pertaining to God. Let us question ourselves asking, ‘Are we giving importance to the Church of God?’ ‘What is our Primary priority in life?’ Beloved, we need to know that God is having a watch on us and he wants us to give him the first priority. On giving the priority, God gives us a Divine satisfaction in life which is highly necessary.

            There are people on earth who will never get satisfied, even if they earn more than others. Though they lead a very rich life, they may not have the peace and satisfaction like a normal man. This is because they do not give importance to God and his words. Our God, the prayer hearer gives his Divine satisfaction to them that give him their topmost priority. Therefore, Today when we make a resolution telling that, ‘God! I will give you the first importance in life.’ Our God will surely hear our confessions and command us a Divine satisfaction in our life.

III. Divine Justice

Psalm 65:5 “By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea.”

            Even as we read this verse, we should be filled with enthusiasm as Our Lord God is doing awesome things for us. Here we see, Our Righteous God gives us a Divine Justice on all the problems that we are facing in life. We might miss out our promotions or some people may grab away our blessings in life. What went wrong?  What made us to encounter this problem? It is because we had failed to put our Trust on our Lord God and we have believed on the help of people. When we put our entire Trust and hope on God, we will never fail as we will surely obtain God’s Divine Justice.

            When we rely upon people, we may not get the full justice on our stand, but when our hope is on our Righteous Lord  we shall never be ashamed for we will get his Divine Justice in our life.

IV. Divine Stability

Psalm 65:6 “Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power.”

            We see Our God arms himself with his strength and forms mountains by his power. This refers to the strong fact that God who makes the gigantic mountains to stand stable is giving us a Divine Stability in life. Many people may say that there is no Job security for you, or they may even say that you will never get big orders in your business, all these may stagger your life but with the help of God’s Divine Stability you will be able to manage all those apprehensions. God’s Divine Stability is giving a stable position to your job and all the parts of your life. All we need to do is, we need to rely upon our Lord God, the prayer hearer who gives stability to our life and we shall boldly say that our job and everything that belongs to us is secure and stable.

V. Divine Silence

Psalm 65:7 “Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.”

             What does our Prayer Hearer do here? He stills the roaring of the seas and its waves and also he stills the turmoil of the nations. To put it in a nutshell, when we believe in God’s power which silences the massive seas and nations, it will give us the Divine Silence in our lives. Even in our lives, people may surround us and roar upon us to trouble us. We need to say ‘Be Quiet!’ to them that trouble us. Today, the prayer hearer is silencing all sorts of problems that is troubling us in life. We need to be calm as God is commanding his Divine silence to our roaring problems and unwanted noises from people. Let the Prayer hearer give you all the divine blessings in life and crown you with his goodness and mercy. Amen! God Bless You!
