BLESSINGS (GIFTS) OF GOD'S PRESENCE- I (October 7, 2012)

There are many incidences in the Bible regarding the descending of God to Earth that is His presence in Earth.  But when I was meditating a particular incident of the Bible, I could not move my eyes away from a particular incident since God began to speak with me regarding that.  That incident is the Creation of God where His presence is also felt visible.  More than a message, this is going to be the prophetical Word of God which will be useful for your spiritual living.

Genesis 1:1-4 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.  Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.  And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
In the beginning were Heaven and Earth.  This creation is of utmost importance amongst all others.  What God created should be a perfect one unlike man’s creation.  But we see in verse 2 that the Earth was formless.  We know for sure that God will never make anything in a disorderly manner.  But how come the Earth became formless.  The answer is that the fallen angels made the Earth improper.  So after this incident, the Spirit of God was hovering over the disordered Earth.  Wherever there is the Spirit of God there is light.

1.    INDISCIPLINE TO DISCIPLINE

Genesis 1:2 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
The presence of God will change all the disorderliness to perfect order.  Our God is a God of order and He expects everything to be the same.  He expects our homes should be neat and clean and its things to be kept in their respective places.  This is because our Holy Spirit is a disciplined Spirit and He also expects order and discipline wherever He dwells.
God promises orderliness in three areas of our life.
a.    Orderliness in our personal life.
b.    Orderliness in the family.
c.    Orderliness in the society.

We need to crosscheck whether we do things at the right time.  God expects discipline in our habits.  Generally secular people never give their houses for rent to Christians since they complain Christians are very slackened to keep their houses clean.  This should not be the case.  We are supposed to magnify our great God in all walks of our lives.  Others should see our testimonial living.

God expects discipline in your personal life.  We need to pray early morning regularly at an appointed time.  We cannot say that I pray anytime I feel like.  One of the reasons we face failures is because we do not pray to Him.  So while reading this God will come to discipline your personal life.  You need to change your mode of living and He expects perfection in every spot.

Likewise God expects our walk, talk, and behavior to be the same at home or outside.  Like New Testament Paul you might be lamenting that you desire to live Holy yet the sin that dwells in you make you not to do so.  But God is promising you now that His presence is going to make all the impossible things possible for you.  God’s presence will make all the sins dwelling in you to leave you.
Prayer:  Dear Lord you have promised that You will make all the disorderliness in my life to perfect order.  Like Paul I struggle to leave certain sins.  Please help me get rid of those by making your presence dwell with me always.  Thank you.

2.    EMPTINESS TO FULNESS

Genesis 1:2 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
When Holy Spirit moves at certain place the emptiness will be made full.  God’s presence will always fill a void place.  You might have felt emptiness in your family even though you have all amenities to the fullest.  But when you feel God’s presence even the dead situation seems lively.  God’s presence promises to do two things for you now.
a.    God is going to be all in all for you.
b.    All the shortfalls in your life will be made abundant.

You might be struggling very hard to do a particular task with much perfection but never getting any appreciation from your seniors or perhaps in your family too.  But God promises that His presence is going to make you perfect and remove all the shortfalls seen in your family, work, studies as applicable to whomever it fits in.  He is commanding fullness in your emptiness now.  So whatever you are going to do from now on will be perfected by the Spirit of God.

Perhaps you have completeness with no perfection.  You might be having a blessing but not to the fullest in other words not perfect.  Kindly do not groan regarding your shortcomings since God has promised the reader fullness in all walks of his life.
Prayer:  Lord, as you said there are certain parts of my life which are empty and certain parts complete but not perfect.  Please let your presence fill me and make my life perfect.  Thank You.

3.    DARKNESS TO LIGHT

Genesis 1:2, 3, 4 - The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.  Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.  And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
As we see here, God changed the existence of darkness and commanded light.  Perhaps certain part of your life may be in darkness.  You might be thinking why it is still in darkness?  When the situation is going to get changed?  But God prophesied thus for the church:  Some of you are thinking about darkness in your life that has been there for a long time not knowing how to overcome it.  But I the Lord have known it and am going to command light in the areas which are dark.  You will be hearing news which would be so surprising for you.  The current scenario is going to change soon and you will be seeing a new scene all together.  God is commanding two things in your life.
1.    His start of setting things right in your life.
2.    The relationship with God and men is going to be renewed again.

As seen above the expected orderliness in your life is going to be set right in your life by God and you will have an intimate relationship with God like never before.  You are going to see a Divine encounter and through it all darkness will change to light.
Prayer:  Lord, as You have promised me please remove my areas of darkness and lit my life.  Please make me see a new beginning.  Thank you.
