ROYAL EXPERIENCE (September 9, 2012)

Psalm 132:18 - But upon Himself His crown shall flourish.”

The God has promised us to give the Blessing of a Crown this month.  He is going to honor you and give a majestic look to you.  You might have a question in mind as to why speak of a crown coz it only fits a king and a layman was never seen wearing it.  But I Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation.”

God lifted us from the pit, clothed us with His salvation and crowned us giving us a royal life.  Perhaps you might be saying I am in a low estate and how am I going to be a king.  But God wants to understand His verses in a right way.

When I was meditating Psalm 21 God made me notice certain blessings He has kept in store for a king.  He also told me that these blessings are not just for kings but for you and me.  We need to expect His strength with rejoicing and to be found in Zion.  Then God will give these blessings as our inheritance.  But many people forget the instruction of God but expect the blessings alone.  Here in this case we should not forget to dwell in Him and trust Him.

1.    God FULFILS HEART’S DESIRE
Psalm 21:2 - You have given him his heart’s desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

God will fulfill even the very small desires of your heart.  You might have forgotten the promises of God given to you long back but the One who has given all those will be very careful to fulfill them.

God will not withhold the request of your heart.  Men might deny your requests but God will listen keenly to all your supplications.  The word “Selah” often comes in between the lines in Psalms.  It means suspension of music or a pause.  Like that God is going suspend all your problems.
Prayer:  Lord, you fulfill the desires of my heart when I dwell in you.  Kindly do the same and make me rejoicing.  Thank you.

2.    God gives LENGTH OF DAYS
Psalm 21:4 - He asked life from You, and You gave it to him, Length of days forever and ever.

Our God alone is a generous giver.  King asked life but God gave him length of days.  Nowadays people die at a very young age.  Once our believer arranged a party for his 63rd birthday and invited us.  He testified he was very thankful to God who enabled him to cross 62 years with sound health.  We prayed for him to God to give him full length of days.

Our chief pastor was admitted in the hospital for a tracheotomy.  According to the report, very few (less than 50%) people resume normal speech after this surgery.   But our pastor recovered so well by the Grace of God and he conducted board meetings with his fellow pastors while he was still admitted in the hospital.

No matter what bad reports doctors give about your ailments, God is very much pleased to give you length of days.  God desires to give long life to his royal generation.  Elijah a man of God prayed in distress to take his life away but god gave him length of days and till now he is in his own body in Heaven waiting for his second coming to the Earth.  So whoever is wearied asking God to take their lives, God is giving length of days to them making them happy.
Prayer:  Lord I am so wearied because of all the problems I am facing.  Please relieve me from all my problems and give me length of days.  Thank you.

3.    God places HONOR AND MAJESTY
Psalm 21:5 - His glory is great in Your salvation; Honor and majesty You have placed upon him.

Lord chose us in this world to honor us with majesty and to make us kings and queens.  So you need to ask God of what Honor and Majesty He has kept in store for you.  You might be longing for some high positions in your job and God will give much more than what you desire.  Perhaps you might be studying in Schools and Colleges and God will make others to wait for your presence and honor you.  You might be doing an ordinary thing but God will make you reach great heights.
Prayer:  Lord, I dwell in you always.  Kindly place me with your Honor and Majesty.  Thank You.

4.    God ESTABLISHES FIRMNESS
Psalm 21:7 - For the king trusts in the Lord, And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved.

Here we see the king trusted the Lord and the unfailing love of the Most High gave him firmness.  Our trust too should be on God like the king.  We might trust many things, prepare much for a particular issue but God’s desire would be entirely different regarding that issue.  For me to prepare a message for the sermon God’s help is necessary.  Bible says, ”Horse is ready for the battle but victory belongs to the Lord.”  So we need to pray to God for His desire to be fulfilled before we proceed further.

The words “Most High” are the very terrific words of the Bible.  God will never shake you out of your place and establish you firmly in the place he has kept you when you trust Him.

God promised David that his kingdom would not depart from him.  That meant David would be king forever.  The royal generation of David continued the kingship position including Jesus who descended from David’s generation.   Even now we are able to see the Honor for David’s tomb in Israel.  God will fulfill His promises unto the generations.
Prayer:  Lord I come to know that when I trust you, you will fulfill all your promises even unto my generations.  I believe and trust you.  Kindly do as you promised to my generations.  Thank you.

5.    Evil WEAPONS WILL NOT PROSPER
Psalm 21:11 - For they intended evil against You; they devised a plot which they are not able to perform.

According to God’s plan, all weapons against the king will not prosper.  He will perform miracles for you.  Once a depressed believer’s family came with a prayer point that they have been facing much oppression from their Brahmin neighbors in their apartment.  They do not what this Christian family to stay in their premises and went to an extent of cutting water supply to this family and complained to higher authorities.  This family prayed to God with tears.  The next day when the water suppliers enquired about the problem they came to know of the neighbor’s jealousy and gave a separate connection to this Christian family.  This is our God who gives victory among our oppressors.

So do not worry about the plans against you.  God will never make those plans against you to prosper.  He will honor you for sure.
Prayer:  Lord, you will never make the plans of the enemies against us to prosper.  Thank you for protecting us when we call unto you.
