LOOK UPON GOD

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. Ps34:5

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Isa45:22

Our face will be bright when we see something  good to our heart and that is a temporary one. When we look upon God our face will be dazzling as we reflect God and He is gracious enough to bless our body, soul and spirit.

1. God who fights:

And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.  And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exo14:10,13,14

Pharoah’s host were chasing the Israelites and they had no other go except crying out to God. They had been slaves for so many years and very lately they felt that they are freed and again when they saw the Egyptians chasing them they were sore afraid and cried unto the Lord. And the Lord came over there and fought for His people.

Many times you might not understand why God keeps silence but he will no more be silent. He will  come and fight for you. God says, “I am zealous for my people” and you will see the difference. When we are in a hopeless situation as the Israelites were, and if we look upon Him and cry unto Him, He is zealous to fight for you.

God made the Red sea a dry land that His people could easily walk on that. Red sea is a very dangerous one. When we went there the security told us to be very careful about the little fishes in there as if they bite it will cause sever itching and rashes.

When God is on our side we do not have to worry about anything and everything we do will be successful.

Prayer: The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle and safety is of the LORD. Thank You Lord for You have delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me.

2. God who heals:

And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. Exo15:23-26.

Man can survive without food for a long time but not without water. Here God was testing whether they will call upon Him. And when Moses called upon Him. He performed a miracle. God changed the bitter water into sweet water. The same God will change the bitterness in your life into sweet.

Do you get hard water from your well. Believe and pray over it, definitely you will taste a miracle. Do you have bitterness about your job, life, school etc God will change all  those bitterness and will make you enjoy a sweet life.

Doctor knows only the medicine but our God alone knows the solution which is the perfect cure for all kind of diseases and problems. Do not expect God to take away the people around you but He will change the same people to favour you and to be for your advantage.

The snake catchers while catching the snake though it bites them they will ignore that bite and go on to catch that snake. The secret behind that is they will be chewing some kind of leaves inside their mouth which breaks the poison of the snake and save them from being harmed. Snake (the serpent) is always referred to Satan in the Bible. Though it tries to hurt us we will be safe because our God who breaks the poison who  is inside us and protecting us.

Prayer: Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. Raise me up and have favour on me, O Lord.

3. God who helps:

And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them. (And the LORD gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime. 2Kings13:4,5.

Jehoahaz entreated the Lord and He heard him. Are you in a position that you are unable to enjoy the blessings which you already have. In your health, job, business, studies, peace, joy and in everything God will enable you to enjoy the blessings to the full. Are you oppressed by anyone as the Israelites were oppressed by the Syrians? God has come to you. The only thing you have to do is just give Him a report about that. God will take care of it and will make you happy and stronger than before.

Prayer: Lord, I do not live a holy life as before and I know my righteousness is as a filthy rag but gracious Lord You can make me lead a holy life that is to become like You.

4. God who answers:

And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard. 2Kings19:14,15,20.

When Hezekiah read the message he was much troubled and he could not pray. He went to the temple and spread the letter before God and said look upon this God. At once God heard his supplication. And it came to pass that night that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. 2Kings19:35.

Yes, tonight you are going to see the angel come down and do a supernatural miracle for your good.

Prayer: Lord, I will call upon You, and You will answer me: You will be with me in trouble; You will deliver me, and honour me. Incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily. Amen.
