ALMIGHTY GOD

Once there were two friends a turtle and a scorpion. The turtle wanted to fulfil the desire of his friend scorpion and asked for its desire. It told that it wanted to float on the water and the turtle carried it on his back and floated on the river. When the waves came the scorpion was scared and stung on the turtle’s back. Turtle asked, why did you hurt me? It replied, sorry my friend that’s my nature. And it floats again and a big wave came and the turtle’s tendency is to plunge into the water and then it came up, scorpion went into the water and died, because it was turtle’s nature to plunge. Many of us are like this hurting others but not trying to change our character. Let us ask God for grace to change our bad nature.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Rev1:8

Today we are going to meditate about the things by which God proves He is the Almighty God.

1. Protector:

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Ps91:1

You are safe here today as the shadow of the Almighty God is upon you. Knowingly and unknowingly we are protected from many evil things, which Satan brings against us. If this shadow is not upon us our end would have been long back. He is the God of protection. We put so many vaccinations to increase the immunity power and avoid that sort of disease, but sometimes people are met with such disease. So God alone can protect you and keep  you from all evil. You can be sure of His protection forever.

All the parent should keep their hands on their children and pray for them before they go to their school. I met a Pastor recently and he was sharing the testimony of how he got saved. He was a RSS hired hand and was told to keep a bomb in the Christian meeting. I remember we too attended that meeting. It was well organized by the men of God with much expenses. Before the meeting started there was heavy rain, literally pouring and that meeting was canceled. Everyone went home with a big question of “Why God?” and they couldn’t find the answer. But God does everything for good.

That man had kept the bomb in a bucket full of water and it was made in such a way once he takes it out it will blast. But once he took it out there was a sudden and heavy rain and it did not blast. He was wondering because there was no chance of rain that day and it was pouring heavily that the bomb could not blast. He went back home and did not sleep that night and was searching for an answer of that wonder. Jesus met him that night and he got saved and he is doing the Lord’s ministry now.

Prayer:  O Lord, Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

2. Leader: 

And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham. Gen28:34

God says, in the land where you are a stranger He will be with you and make you fruitful and inherit all the blessings. This was an essential blessing of Abraham and it is for you too. Some people put us down in a minute by their negative speech in such a way that our little faith also be drained. Are you fed up of something? Believe, God says I will give the nation to you and to your descendants to inherit.

Prayer: Lord, I thank You for I know that I am thereunto called, that I should inherit a blessing.

3. Eye Opener:

He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: Num24:4

Balaam thought whatever he says God will do but he did not know about the Israelites. Though God warned him not to go when invited by Balaak he went to curse the Israelites but God opened his eyes to see how God loves His people, the Israelites. In v5 God says, How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! Yes God loves our house and wants to dwell in that. Our God has a very loving and compassionate heart.

He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: With our natural eyes we see the present things but with the spiritual eyes opened by God we foresee things which is come to pass.

Balaam knew only to curse before his eyes were opened but after that he started blessing and foretold everything which is going to happen. God is giving you a telescopic view of the things the Lord has kept in store for you. We are still the people who see and believe. May the Lord open your eyes and see the blessings He has for you.

Prayer:  Lord, Open my eyes so I can truly see the marvelous things You have kept in store for me.

4. Restorer:

  I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? Rth1:21

Without the will of God we should not go from one place to another as of our desire. Naomi’s family was full, as she said but still she went to Moab which was not God’s will and she lost her husband, sons and everything. She came back home empty handed. A family came to pray to me saying that they have planned to go to another place. I prayed and said, Why don’t you be here itself, because it is not God’s will about you to go there. After some days they called from that place where they wanted to go and then I knew they did not want to obey the voice of God. And I heard that their family is not in a good level, so pitiable. Self will leads to failures, God’s will leads to success.

People want to change the church, place etc for no reason as Naomi did. But when Naomi returned to her own country God blessed her again. And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman. Rth4:12. The Lord changed the emptiness. What all things you lost God is going to give you back in full. He is the Restorer and will rebuild your lives.

Never give up thinking that everything is gone out of control. Don’t worry about the lost things and past things. God will restore it doublefold.

Prayer: Lord, You are the God who restores. I have lost many things, rebuild me for You are gracious enough and You are the Almighty God.

5. Separator:

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2Cor6:17,18

The Lord separated from uncleanness and called unto holiness. Always say this in your heart, “I am separated by the Lord”. God made a great difference between His people and the Egyptians. God sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; lice in all their coasts and frogs, which destroyed them and this sort of ten plagues were sent by God but it did not affect any of His people, Israelites.

God says, Be holy because I am holy. God has come to you to make you holy today, Believe and receive it. We are in this world but we are not of this world but of God. Fishes are in the sea but the salt content of the sea do not enter in to the fish, same way though we are in the world the wicked ways of this world should not enter in to us. God has kept us for a purpose.

I would have gone from this world in my 12years and then in my 17 years as of my knowledge, but my mother used to say Satan had many times tried to take my life away from me as she had dedicated me to God’s ministry. When I was 28- yr-old I went to America and the flight was in some danger and all the people were terrified but I was so bold and confident because God who has called me is faithful and till He finished the purpose He has for me Satan cannot touch me and I was so sure I will be safe. Today after so many years I am standing infront of you and doing His ministry by His grace. Glory be to God.

Prayer: God, You have not called me unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. Help me to be holy and become like You Lord and Let Your will alone be done on me. Amen.
