ALMIGHTY GOD

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. Gen17:1.

God did a mighty thing in Abraham and Sarah's life. From this one man, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. The same Almighty God is with us to lead us this whole year in a wonderful way. Wherever we see the word "Almighty God" mighty things happened in there.

1. Make you fruitful and multiply:

And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins; Gen35:11

God will make you fruitful and multiply. You will see an increase for the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand. Jacob passed over Jordan with his staff, he then became two bands. Ref Gen32. The same God is with you to bless you with the same blessings. But there is a condition behind it. "You should walk before Him, and be blameless". God is confirming the prophesy which was told in the newyear day again. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. Gen17:6.

2. Mercy:

And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved. Gen43:14

God shows mercy to His anointed and to their children for evermore. You might have missed many oppurtunities though you are skillful in that field because of lacking of favor or mercy from the heads. But today the Almighty God changes your approach in a good manner that it be pleasing to everyone and give you mercy before the man.

3. Helper:

Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: Gen49:25

God will be your helper and assist you in all you do and will bless you. This is the blessing told by Jacob to Joseph. Joseph's brothers took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. Then they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt. Joseph was not weary for anything because he knew that God was with him and faithful to what He had promised.  Joseph found grace in his Egyptian master's sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. After that he had a prison life, still he did not loose his hope. And God gave grace in the sight of Pharoah and he made Joseph governor over all Egypt. Through Joseph the twelve tribes were blessed, saved from destruction and lived.

Joseph did not blame his brothers for their enmity instead he said, "Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them." God says, "Through you, much people are going to be saved".

My daughter Phoebe used to buy things from the canteen from a lady usually and that day it was crowded on her side so she went to buy from the other lady. She threw the money on her face and said "go and buy from that lady itself as you usually do". She came back home crying and said that she wont go to school tomorrow and we heard everything and advised her to go and say sorry to her. The next day she went to that lady and said sorry, she was embarassed and said I would not have done like that. If we learn to be humble we can turn everyone be on our side.

4. Goodness:

Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?  Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.Job22:17,25

May the Almighty God fill your house with all goodness and it is not because you have more money but because He is with you. Many times we cannot believe even Abraham could not believe the promise and said "O Lord, Ishmael might live before you". Though he was called as the Father of faith it is his body which made him to suspect. But still God fulfilled what He promised him. Likewise you believe it or not, God decided to do things for you and He will do it.

5. Decides the future:

Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days? Job24:1

Your future is in God's hand alone. He is the one who decides your future. He will lift you up, satisfy, bless you in His time. When we surrender to Him He will take care of our needs and fill us with all goodness.
 
6. Fellowship:

When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me; Job29:5

God says, "You are going to have a great peace in your family". All separated families are going to be reunited. God commands a great fellowship in your family that it will become a strong and peaceful family that is a happy family.

In these days people give worthless excuses to get separated. In America a lady who was asked for the reason of her need of divorce, she said, "my husband do not know to do things properly at home". Instead of taking the paste from squeezing it from the back he pressed it in the middle to take it. This complaint seems to be funny but we should pray for these kind of people, for the divorce rates are increasing day by day. But for God's people they are going to enjoy a happy family as God commands it to them.
