INHERITANCE 20/11/11

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: Eph1:11

We have obtained an inheritance along with the other blessings which we are going to meditate today. We now possess it in Christ by promise. The day we hold on to His hand we become joint heirs with Christ. In the wedding the bridegroom makes an oath that everything belongs to him belongs to the bride. Parents should enjoy seeing their children living happily.We share every blessings of Jesus Christ on the day we hold on to His hands.

For the LORD'S portion is His people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.Deu32:9. For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD. 1Kings8:53

1. Inheritance of Nation:

And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. Jos14:9

We went to a church dedication in Chethiya Thoppu, the church was big and beautifully built. We went to that same place for ministry when I was very young.We went street by street and repeated the word of God told by an old man loudly so that everyone could hear,literally we were like a microphone to him. We gladly sowed the word of God. On the day of dedication of that grand church God reminded me of the ministry we did in the same place before so many years and on that day when we saw that harvest I praised My God.

Go and sow the God's word everywhere, that's why we are all called for, God will definitely give the increase.

Prayer: God, Help us to follow You wholly and inherit the promise You swore to Moses on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever.

2.Goodly Inheritance:

The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.ps16:5,6

If you believe the Lord will give you only the best of the best that is done to you. Whatever blessing it may be a job,life partner, land, house,anything, God gives you the best. Behind every blessings there will be a condition but this is an unconditional blessing for all those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior.

3. Inheritance of Children:

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psa127:3

It is given as a rights unto us.When you look into the original meaning of the reward is given as payment, bonus, gift, compensation,contract etc; For example Moses mother was paid wages to nurse her own child, Moses.You may have so many children, remember God is able to feed them. When the contract is over we need to hand over that property to the owner. We are just a caretaker of the children, when they are grown up we need to hand them over to God saying, "I brought him so far in your knowledge by Your grace and now I bring him to You, Lord."

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Pro13:22. Are you worried that you are not able to save anything for your children? From today God gives you grace to save inheritance for your children. What more gift you need than the children who say, "Iam your best inheritance".

4. Double Portion of Inheritance:

For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. Isa61:7

Instead of shame  and instead of confusion you will receive double portion. This is an unconditional blessing for all those who accepted Jesus christ as their savior.

5.Good Pasture:

Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. Mic7:14

It is as in the days of old, good pasture.The Lord is going to give you a good kind of spiritual food, the food that comes from the fertile land of Bashan and Gilead. He satisfies us with the spiritual food in abundance.When we hear the word of God and take it in our heart we become prosperous through the word. God is preparing you to do the things you are going to do in the future, so that you can easily handle it.

6. Eternal Inheritance:

But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. Dan12:13

The day we made a covenant with the Lord on the day of Baptism, God made us ready for the eternal inheritance. Though we may go through so many trials in between God is able to fulfill the plans He has for you.He will take you to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 1Pet1:4
