GOD'S CHOSEN 06/11/11

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: Eph1:11.

So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. Mat20:16. We may be christians and have accepted Christ but only those who live a faithful life will be taken away with Him. We should be found in the chosen list, none of us should be left behind. God has many purposes in choosing us.

1. To be with you:

But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.Isa41:8-10.

God chose Jacob and through him he called the Israelites and also us (spiritual Israelites). When millions of people are there in this world, why He should choose you and me? When millions of angels are praising Him in the heavenly places why He created Adam and Eve? Because "He loves to be with us".He loves to have fellowship with us.

God says, "I am with you" and He strengthens us and upholds us. He created Adam with a purpose but the greatest purpose is to dwell with him, walk with him and be with him. Therefore the Lord decided to come down and dwell in the tent of tabernacle. And more than that God decided to dwell in you and me. He says, " Ye are the temple of God". So we are the most blessed and privileged people to be the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. And God desires that you abide in Him and He in you.

The fellowship between a believer and God is crucially important. How is it possible for a person not to spend time with his loving one? If you truly love God you will spend time with Him? Just think how much time you spend with God everyday? You may tithe your money but do you tithe your time? Atleast one hour? I want you to enjoy the happiness by being in good fellowship with God. Try it by spending your precious time with Him.

Prayer: Lord, its of a long time I spend much time with you and I was busy with other things. Forgive me Lord. I decide that in a day atleast one hour there is going to be only You and me and nothing else.

2. To give naitons/ lands:

And because He loved thy fathers, therefore He chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in His sight with His mighty power out of Egypt; to drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.Deu4:37,38

There are two kinds of blessings. One is God sees the righteousness of the forefathers and bless their generation. Other one is God bless you as you are the first one to come out for the Lord with a zeal for Him.

Why did the Lord choose you? In order to give you the lands and nations as aninheritance. In hebrew "ERETS" means the earth (at large,country, earth) and in short it is land. Never say that I came empty and will go away empty. Know the purpose and crave for it and possess it.

When we worldly parents want our children to be dressed up well and to be in a good position, how much more the heavenly Father wants His children (You) to be. The God has called us to be in good health and wealth. Every good gift comes from the Father. No one says "no" to the father's inheritance instead he longs for it and glad to inherit that. Same way, you have more and assured rights to inherit the blessings from the heavenly Father. Rom8:17.

3. To give treasures:

Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, My servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour My spirit upon thy seed, and My blessing upon thine offspring: Isa44:2,3

Jeshurun means "Upright" it shows an experience of being righteous before God. It is the other name given to Israel. God poured out His blessings on Jacob where there was no hope. Can you find any goodness in the desert? Our life might seem to be a dry land . God pours out not only the water(small blessing) but rivers (abundance) for us.God has chosen you to give you treasures,believe and take over it.

I bought a very powerful generator before 5 years but we did not utilise 1% of the power of it. Many shouted at me saying, "it is pointless buying that". But today we have fully air conditioned the church by God's grace and its of a year now we are not provided with a transformer and we are running all of it through that generator I bought 5 years ago. Always our thought should be big like our God's.

Prayer: Lord, give me grace to take over the treasure You have for me and also give me wisdom to handle that in a good way.

4. To do justice:

And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?Lk18:7,8.

Here we see there was a Judge who fear not God, nor regard man and would not do justice for a while for the widow but afterward did justice because she troubleth him by her continual coming and worn him out.

God says, The laws will be revised for your sake and you will testify, "this is definitely from God and He did justice for me". There is a secret in here, "Call Him night and day" and God does pleasant things  who cries unto Him like that. May God fulfill everything according to your desire. Are you exhausted, tired,orhopeless? Come, let's pray.

Prayer: Lord, do justice for me. When that hard man could do justice, You being the gracious God will definitely do justice for me as I cry out to you day and night. Thank You Lord.

5. To lead a victorious life:

Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. Isa48:10

whatever afflictions you are facing you will come out of it in the name of Jesus. God says, "You will overcome".

The bones of the babies are some what flexible so when they fell down nothing happen to them. The bones of the old people are stiff and fragile and when they fell down the bones are easily broken. New believers may fall down and rise up. The matured believers should not fall often but should go on increasing in the perfection. Ref 1Pet1,2.

Prayer:  Lord, help us to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul. Let me do Your will of well doing. 
 
6. To do God's ministry:

But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto Me, to bear My name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:Acts9:15.

As the Lord says, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; the people who come forward to do His ministry are lessened these days. Wherever you are, you should do His ministry. Though time permits or not you have to do His ministry and it is the duty of each and every believer.The Lord should say, "You are the chosen vessel to do My ministry". As you bear much fruits for Him, He will definitely say this to you and I believe you are, "God's chosen vessel".

Prayer: The Lord of the harvest, send forth labourers into Your harvest. Give us all willingness and boldness to preach Your gospel. Amen
