PREDESTINATION

A Pastor put a question like this to a young boy. Whom do you like the most in this world? He spontaneously replied "My Dad". He said, Hey boy do not lie tell me the truth. He said No Pastor I changed after hearing your message last week. and the Pastor was wondering about his answer. And he said, Yes Pastor last week you told us to "love your enemies" and the first enemy in my life is my dad so this transforming answer "I love my dad". Fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

The Lord put this word in my heart  that I should concentrate in it. God is leading us in the way of holiness from last week our messages are related to this.  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Eph1:11. This verse has very deep meanings in it and there are so many messages in that single verse.The word "Predestined" embedded in my heart.

Every Christian should have the awareness that without the knowledge of Jesus Christ nothing will happen in your life, everything is preplanned by God.Your present state and what you are heading towards are all happening according to HIs will. And if you believe and accept as true you will not worry for anything and nothing can bother you.

When you watch a live cricket match you will become nervous and be anxious to know the end of the game. But when you see the highlights after knowing the result you will be cool and watch it relaxedly. Likewise we are playing a live match in this world and God is watching the highlights. But as a christian we have a goal and we are running to attain it and let us run with patience the race that is set before us with the hope of victory.

Predestined-Proorizo-Pro-or-idzo- To limit in advance. Predetermine - determine before, ordain, predestinate. It is just you have to believe that God has already planned and commanded His angels to protect you and keep you in all thy ways.

1. Sonship:

 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Eph1:5

Once we were all outside the boundary of God's blessings but now brought inside His boundary of blessings. God has predestined us for a reason that is to be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. And it is God's pleasure to bless those He has predestinated according to His will.

Some people wanted to meet Abraham Lincoln and they took an appointment before many days. One day when they went to meet him some small boys were playing on the road side and one boy suddenly ran into Abraham Lincoln's house and the guards did not stop him and he straight way went in to that house. When those people enquired about it they came to know that was his son. Yes, the door is always opened for a son. As we are heirs of God we can meet Him anytime through Jesus.

Once Charles Duke came to chennai and he said, "I am not proud in saying that I landed in the moon instead I am proud to say that the holy God Jesus came as a man into this world and born on this earth.

Prayer: Lord, I thank You for You have chosen me as Your child.

2. Divine wisdom

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 1Cor2:7

Even before the foundation of the world God predestinated you to be His wise child.You should reveal that wisdom to everyone, you should preach Him everywhere and also in your speech and action you should reveal His wisdom. The mystery is revealed to you  through  the Bible by His grace. Many genius people are there in this world yet it is not revealed to them but to you who believe.
You are going to be surprised by the wonderful results of what all you do, you are going to be successful in everything. And the works of your hands is going to be a world famouw=s one, but it is not through youe wisdom but because of His grace. God is filling us with all kind of wisdom. Especially you are going to see the wisdom works in your children. You should have a wisdom of a stedfast belief that if you die today you will be with Him.

Prayer:For the LORD giveth wisdom: Lord, Out of Your mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Let Your wisdom and knowledge enter into my heart as it is pleasant unto Your soul; Happy am I when I find wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.

3. To Glorify

Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. Rom8:30

Our church believer has joined in a company very recently and he has got many promotions with in few months. They chose 8 persons from 100 workers and no one expected him to be in that list as he is a junior but he was there in that list. If God wants to lift somebody He will do it and He needs only one qualification "Just love Him and believe His word".He testified it is purely God's grace and not because of my ability.

God's blessings are not according to your skill or talent or aptitude but it is according to His grace. He has predestined to glorify you so He will glorify you. There are so many Godly persons in Chennai but God glorifies our church, that's not because of my righteousness or holiness it is because He wants to glorify our church He does it. Praise be to God.

Prayer: God, though I am unworthy for this position You have glorified me as You  have predestined and I humbly thank for I have been Your choice.

4. To Be Like Him

For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Rom8:29

When I went to Ashok Nagar in my car I met a pentecostal couple (obviously seen) on the way, who was shouting at a young man using bad words, which I could hear from inside the car through the closed doors and windows. (That young man had not given way for him while driving it seems). And his wife who was standing behind his bike making signs and was asking that young man to leave. She meant that her husband is always like that, so begged him to kindly leave that place. We should not be like this, we should have a good testimony everywhere.

Have you seen the Buffaloes? It does not mind anything or any one. Even if it rainsand thunders they will slowly move from there and go to another place, have you ever seen this animal anxious for anything? Never. But I have noticed that if you sound horn it will neatly give place for you to go. And if the birds sit over that it will not harm them. When God is there why are you anxious about something? Jesus never got angry save those who sold doves at the temple and made His Father's house a house of merchandise. Jn2:14 and when Peter spoke against God's will. Mat8:33.

Esther was taken to the place of purification before she met the king. Likewise in brief the church is a purification place where we prepare the bride to meet Jesus by removing all the black spots in them.

Prayer: Change my heart O God may I be like You. You are the potter and I am the clay. Mould me and make me like You O GOd. Amen.
