A SHINING EXPERIENCE

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. Psa34:5

Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Like the moon gets light from the sun and gives us light we receive light from God and we shine forth as we are the light of the world. What should we do to catch this shining forth experience? In Hebrew “shine forth” means “Nahar” which means to sparkle, be cheerful, be lightened. To be cheerful we should have the experience of looking unto Him.

God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar. Ps118:27. We receive light form God; as the face of God shines forth when we look unto Him our face will not be dark but it will shine forth.

WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO US:

And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. Exo34:30

When Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the veil upon his face again,

When Moses went up to the mount Sinai his face was normal but when he came down his face shone , that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look at him. It is because God’s light was shone on him during the intervening time. We should look upon Him to become like Him. Only after the prayer you can set off to work. God always loves to speak with man that is why He created Adam and Eve and after that He commanded Moses to build the tent of tabernacle, which is the meeting place of God. And in the NT period God Himself dwells in us asking, “Know ye not ye are the temple of God?” People will go mad if their loving ones do not talk to them, you should feel more than that if God does not speak to you. God calls you to get back the experience of hearing His voice. Are you ready? Then pray this prayer with me.

Prayer: Lord, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. I know You dwell in me and in the heaven, my companions are listening attentively for Your voice; let me be the one to hear it!

WHEN GOD BLESS US:

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: Num6:24,25

When a person receives praises we can visibly see the gladness in his face and just the opposite reaction when someone shouts at him. This is the human nature. No curses will come upon you but all the blessings will come to you in abundance if you listen to the voice of the LORD Your God. Can we bless the Lord and Father, and curse people made in God’s image from the same mouth? My brothers and sisters these things should not be so.

“A man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that will belong to me.’ So he divided his assets between them. After a few days, he spent everything and he began to be in need. He was longing to eat the carob pods the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. But when he came to his senses said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ But the father said to his slaves, ‘Hurry! Bring the best robe, and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet! Bring the fattened calf and kill it! Let us eat and celebrate, because this son of mine was dead, and is alive again – he was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate. Lk15:11-24. The moral of this story told by Jesus is “when you are with the Father your blessings will increase and you will prosper and the person who go away from God will retain it for a short period and then loose everything.”

When God is compassionate toward us He started to bless us and because of that blessing our face will shine forth. Ask Him for His compassion and He is ready to bless you abundantly and when you pray He will start releasing it, Only Believe! Then those living on earth will know what you are like; When my parents were alive they used to sing a song everyday night that song deep rooted in my heart. “Kanivudan irangumae karamadhai neetumae, sugamadhai eeyumae”. all nations will know how you deliver your people.

Prayer: Lord, be merciful unto me, stretch Your hand and bless me with all thy blessings.

WHEN WALK THROUGH DARKNESS:

When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness; Job29:3

Do you think you are the one who is troubled a lot? No one can be in a worse condition that that of Job. When you pass through the darkness His light will lead you to cross that and you will have a double fold blessing like Job. Not only that you will experience the embrace of Him.

Prayer: Lord, I am like a blind who do not know the way but You have promised me that You will lead me in paths that I have not known: You will make darkness light before me, and crooked things straight. These things You will do unto me, and not forsake me. Thank You Lord

WHEN YOU PRAY:

And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. Lk9:29

My father was not a fair man, he was dark only but a sister asked my father, “Pastor why do your face look dark today?” He replied, “Yes sister, I had lot of work and I did not pray so that…” It is true, if you do not trust me try yourself and you will agree with me. Be in prayer for the whole day with a rejoicing heart and spend your time with Jesus and look at your face, I guarantee your face will definitely shine forth. In a meeting they forgot to provide a generator and when Bro.Dhinakaran came to the stage there was a power cut. A brother testified that the brightness from his face fill the stage, it proves his prayerful life.

You need to increase your prayer time and should allot a particular time for praying. In your critical situation there might not be any worldly help-line available. Call unto the God He is the only one who is never busy for you and will immediately help you.

Prayer: I confess that everyday I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice. Lord, Help me to stick on to my decision.

WHEN WE DO GOD’S MINISTRY:

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake. Psa31:16

You can do ministry in so many ways. I give you some tips. Track ministry can be done by any one. If you are doing a white collared job you can keep a track which says about the salvation in the table of your work place. Others who travel on the bus when you get down you could greet the person next to you like “God bless you”. On the trains you can keep the tracks for people to look at it. You do not know how many can be saved through this ministry. Do your job God will give the increase.

We went to Las Vegas and there is no clock in that city and it is to make the people gamble without any break. The specialty of that city is they sleep in the day time and are awake in the night time. It is a very big and posh city. We went there and at 12pm we saw a man standing in the road holding the Bible. We were stunned to see a man of God doing ministry in such a place with all boldness and comeliness. People came to him and asked many questions, so many of that seemed to be pulling his leg. Till then he was patiently and politely answering them. We introduced ourselves to him and prayed for each other and gave some offering to him. He was so excited to receive offering from the people of India in such a sinful place.

It is your responsibility to pray for such people’s salvation. Share your testimonies with your neighbors and friends and pray for them and you will earn them for God one day.

Prayer: Father in heaven, it is not Your will that one of these little ones be lost. We pray lord for those who are in the hold of Satan, release them right now and save them. Lord, help us also to be holy and live a testimonial life before them and earn them for Your kingdom. Amen.
