GOD’S PRESENCE

Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal. Psa_17:2

There are many blessings that come down from His presence. Many times, we confess negative things and loose our blessings. Let us ask God that we should take heed to our ways, and that we sin not with our tongue and keep our mouth with a bridle and will not speak any negative words. Speech that heals is like a life-giving tree, but a perverse tongue breaks the spirit. Death and Life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Pro_18:21. Today, we are going to meditate the things we receive from God’s presence.

1. HIS STRENGTH

Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. Psa17:5

His strength comes from His presence and our footsteps will not slip or trip. Unless we have the strength of Jesus Christ we cannot do anything and we always need it. We might find certain things to be difficult for us to do on our own, but let us remember that God is there to help us do that successfully.

2. HIS RESPONSE

I call to you for you will answer me, O God. Psa17:6

Are you waiting for a long time for an answer from God and want God to hear your speech? The Answer to your problem or situation is coming down directly from God’s presence. When we decide to leave things which we have to leave, we receive the answers for our prayer in time of need and we will have the belief in ourselves that we have succeeded in making God to hear our prayer.

Prayer: Lord, I called upon You in my distress: you answer me, and set me in a large place. Thank You Lord.

3. HIS GRACE

Shew thy marvelous loving kindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. Psa 17:7

Jesus Christ Himself gives Grace that can hold up our goings in the paths of truth. That is a marvelous grace / loving kindness. From today you are going to see His marvelous grace coming down on / to you from His presence and that is a grace which will be given to you everyday according to your need.

Jesus says, if you then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Prayer: Lord, Let Your marvelous grace rest upon me. We know of Your fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. Thank You Lord.

4. HIS PROTECTION

Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. Psa17:8

You may neither feel it nor know it but it is a solid truth that God is protecting you on every side. We have learned from Job1:9 that God has made an hedge about Job, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? The same way God has put an hedge around His children.

I know a person who is working in a Bangalore concern had to go to Mumbai for a project. He came to me, prayed and went to Mumbai. He finished his job and came to the airport to return. The airline staff checked his ticket and told him that his ticket is booked for the next day. He couldn’t believe, he was wondering, “how could it be?” The same time he was in the airport there was a bomb blast in the place right where he was staying. Then that person realized the work of the Lord in guiding him to the Airport that day thereby protecting him from the blast. This is how the protection of God’s people would be. Sometimes we realize and many a time, we do not realize that the protection is in process 24X7 by our loving God.

Prayer: Lord, I thank You for being my protection. I can live joyfully because You are there on my side to protect me.

5. HIS SATISFACTION

They have many children, and leave their wealth to their offspring. Psa17:14

Today whoever comes in want of a child, the God of Israel satisfies them with the blessing of children and not only that He will grant you all thy petition that you have asked of Him, whether it be long life, hike in salary, new job or anything else. This is not a temporary satisfaction which men give, but a permanent and eternal continuing satisfaction that God gives.

Prayer: Father, we know You are the only one who can satisfy us to the full and I thank You for that deep down from my heart.

6. HIS PROSPERITY

They enjoy prosperity; Psa17:14

Here God promises material blessing and He will abundantly bless your provision. You will also take which remains in excess for your children. A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Pro13:22.

Prayer: Lord, give me grace and strength that I may earn and leave an inheritance for my children. Let Your prosperity come down from His presence.

7. HIS IMAGE/FACE

As for me, because I am innocent I will see your face; when I awake you will reveal yourself to me. Psa17:15.

The hope and goal of every Christian is “we shall be changed”. For that, we need to see His face everyday and His light should shine upon us. We should pray unto God, and He will be favourable unto us: and we shall see His face with joy: for He renders unto man His righteousness.

Prayer: LORD, make Your face shine upon me, and be gracious unto me: lift up Your countenance upon me, and give me peace. You have promised it and You are faithful to do it. Thank You Lord. Amen.
